Chi is a case study I designed based on my interest in relaxation/sleep aids. As someone who deals with anxiety, I wanted to create a space where others who also deal with anxiety can feel safe. 'Chi' in Chinese means a vital force forming part of any living entity. The app is centred on finding your balance (as the name suggests) through means of relaxation techniques and creating stillness in ones environment.
The problem
According to a 2018 study by the Mental Health Foundation, 74% of people have felt so stressed they have been overwhelmed or unable to cope. 61% of those who felt stressed reported feeling anxious.

The pandemic...
The goal of this project was to create a framework that enables individuals to relax through techniques that utilise the senses of sight, sound and speech.
1. To develop a safe, relaxing space and a sense of community.
2. To create healthy coping mechanisms for stressed/anxious individuals.
3.  To help individuals on their wellness journey.
